Delta Steele (Ambur Plaster)

I’m a clinical social work associate who supports individuals, families, and LGBTQ+ communities in healing, reconnecting with themselves, and creating change that feels sustainable and authentic.
My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, social justice values, and over a decade of experience serving diverse communities in both clinical and healthcare settings.
My approach blends evidence-based practices—such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, trauma-focused CBT, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)—with experiential and nature-based supports. I often incorporate ecotherapy, using nature connection as a tool for grounding, nervous system regulation, and expanding a client’s sense of safety and belonging.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years in healthcare and program leadership roles within the Department of Veterans Affairs, developing inclusive services, supporting LGBTQ+ veterans, improving telehealth access, and advocating for equitable care. These experiences shaped my belief that healing happens most powerfully when people are met with respect, cultural responsiveness, and the freedom to show up fully as themselves. In therapy, I offer a space where people can explore trauma, identity, relationships, stress, and life transitions without judgment. I partner with you to build emotional regulation skills, process painful experiences, and reconnect with your strengths, values, and sense of possibility. I bring clinical training, cultural humility, and lived experience to every session—and I view therapy as a collaborative process where you are the expert of your own story.
If you’re looking for a therapist who is compassionate, real, and committed to whole-person healing, I’m here to walk that path with you.
